We worked late nights, had hundreds of calls and meetings and one year later after spending numerous no. of hours in development of this platform and operational set up, we launched i2ifunding.com in Oct 2015. Since then, we have never looked back. We have a diverse, intelligent and committed team which works in unison to achieve the dream of making i2ifunding a leader in Peer2Peer lending space in India.

An IIM-Ahmedabad alumnus, Vaibhav has 10+ years of experience in setting up large scale operations from scratch, driving operational efficiencies, and building and leading large teams. At i2i, Vaibhav is responsible for making strategic alliances, fund raising and technology development. He has successfully designed and led the technology team to develop various enterprise level solutions. These technology applications are being used by more than 5000 users across the company and vendor locations.
An IIM-Calcutta alumnus and ex-merchant mariner, Raghavendra has more than 10 years of global experience in Product development, e-commerce, operations, digital marketing and client servicing. At i2i, Raghavendra is part of founding team and responsible for Product development and Marketing. He is also actively involved in formulation and execution of growth strategy of i2i. He has worked in British Petroleum, Genpact and Aptara previously. He is a sport enthusiasts and follows politics passionately.
Neha in her short span of career has worked from brand management in FMCG sector to product development in financial sector. She was instrumental in bringing new products in priority lending sector at ICICI. She has handled SHG & FDOD instruments of over $25 million at ICICI. At i2i, Neha is leading Credit Risk team and responsible for Credit Risk evaluation of borrowers. Neha completed her MBA from XIM-Bhubaneswar and graduated from Delhi University with distinction in Finance.
Manisha is a Chartered Accountant and brings with her over 8 years of domestic and overseas work experience in various fields. She has also worked in the past with NGOs like CAT Protection and ADHD in UK overseeing finance and treasury activities. She has also worked with Birla Sunlife Insurance in the past.
Manisha looks after investor interaction, strategy formulation, strategic tie-ups and regulatory relationship management besides day to day business involvement and overseeing Mumbai office activities.
Abhinav has more than 7 years of strong experience in business operations and setting up new processes. Prior to i2i, Abhinav was engaged with Flipkart and worked on several strategic initiatives in it’s market place operations. At i2i, Abhinav is part of founding team and responsible for managing loan origination and operations. He was instrumental in setting up the processes. This engineer cum MBA is a go-getter to whom you can assign any task and rest assured that it will be done. He is a foodie to the core and has eaten at all famous eateries in NCR.
Pramod has more than 8 years of experience in web-development with full cycle of SDLC in PHP. He has extensive knowledge in PHP Concept including all types of Framework and CMS. He has expertise in MVC framework development and has developed several MVCs to help in faster execution with lightweight libraries. He is continuously adding new features and striving hard to make our product more robust. Pramod is an MCA from UP Technical University. He loves to keep him-self updated with current affairs.
Sachin is master of UI/UX designing. His artistic designs combined with latest technology takes user experience to next level. He is our go-to man for all design related requests. He is continuously working to take UI/UX of our portal to next level. Sachin has more than 7 years of work experience in UI/UX Design and HTML coding. He is an expert of front end technologies like Photoshop, HTML5, CSS3, DHTML, Bootstrap, Less/Sass, J query, Angular js He is graduate of Delhi University and likes to update his skills to latest technologies.
Arpita is part of our founding team and a true multi tasker. Arpita is our HR cum Admin cum Accountant cum Customer Relationship Manager. She has commendable patience and ability to handle customers’ queries and requests. She has done MBA (Finance) from Symbiosis Pune after completing M.com from Lucknow University. Prior to i2ifunding, she worked with Muthoot Finance as Accounts Manager and has more than 3 years of work experience. She is a great cook and regularly gives immense satisfaction to our taste buds with her culinary skills.
At i2i Alka, plays a very important role of screening the loan applications. She is very thorough and does not miss any detail. She has this uncanny ability of finding out minute details of the borrower’s applications and can catch fake applications immediately. She is the key link between loan origination and underwriting team. She is a Science graduate and has done MBA in Finance from Punjab Technical University. She loves to travel and her dream is to go on a world tour to explore new destinations.
Rakesh is responsible for handling our institutional sales and liaising with financial advisors and NBFCs. He has more than 6 years of experience in B2B Sales of different financial products ranging from Equities, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Debentures, and SIPs etc. He has worked with companies like Reliance Securities and Ventura Securities. He has done MBA in Marketing from IBMR Pune. He has immense knowledge of different kind of financial products and helps customers to develop right investment strategy to meet their financial goals. He is a passionate traveller and actively writes on travel related Blogs.
Abhishek is handling our operations in NCR region. He has single-handedly developed our entire back end loan operations. He has also developed vast network of DSAs for generating quality leads. Abhishek has amazing capacity and capability to deliver any task assigned to him. He is an Electronics engineer and loves crunching numbers be it statistical model development or credit underwriting. He has won several awards in the field of Robotics and automation. He loves to play traditional India sports like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi etc.
Alok is our key man in our Mumbai office. He is responsible for handling our sales/marketing and operations in Mumbai region. He has more than 7 years of experience in Sales and Marketing of different products ranging from Home Loans to Franchise Development in Equity Market. He has done MBA in Marketing from VIM (PUNE). He is very enthusiastic about Peer to Peer lending and wants to spread this concept to masses who are deprive of financial services.
i2iFunding is much more than P2P market place. Apart from providing end to end loan servicing, i2i diligently evaluates the credit risk of each of the loan projects, post which it assigns risk category and recommends an interest rate for that project (a borrower can borrow at an interest rate which is higher than or equal to this rate). This helps the borrowers as well as the investors to have a benchmark interest rate. In the process, the investors get an opportunity to earn higher 'risk adjusted returns' while the borrowers get an opportunity to get funded at the lowest cost possible as per their risk profile and market based demand. We also provide legal and recovery support to investors in case of default by any borrower. On top of that we also have, Principal Protection in place for investors to ensure we have our skin in the game.
i2i is all set to change the way in which financial transaction s are being currently carried out. Traditional financial systems due to their high operating costs such as high office rentals, high employee costs etc. are unable to diligently assess each of the customers as per their risk profiles. Therefore, they consider the retail loans (i.e. loans offered to individual persons) as 'flow' business which results in customers with varying credit quality getting bucketed together. This is not only unfair to borrowers with high credit quality but also leads to inefficient utilization of financial resources.
Somak Ghosh has been part of the co-founding team of Yes Bank. As of fiscal 2011, Somak was Group President – Corporate Finance and Development Banking, responsible for 70% of the Bank’s assets (USD 12bn) and over 50% of the Bank’s profits (USD 0.2bn). As a Co-Founder, he has been a key member of the Bank’s Executive Management, the Management Credit Committee and the Asset Liability Committee for over 8 yrs and emerged as an exceptional leader in building start-up businesses and taking them to scale.
Being part of the founding team, Somak has extensive operating experience in creating and implementing strategies across early stage/ start-up businesses, building and managing large teams, initiating and growing external relationships and finding bootstrapping solutions necessary at an early stage of an organization. In his role at Yes Bank, while building the highly profitable Corporate Finance practice, Somak simultaneously founded the Development Banking vertical, with application of mainstream corporate finance structures for delivering financial services to previously underserved populations. Somak decided to move on from Yes Bank in September 2012 to pursue his professional and personal passion of Contrarian Capitalism for Mainstreaming Change –moving the investment thesis of investing in BoP businesses from niche to mainstream.
Prashant has more than 17 years of vast and rich experience in enterprise level Information and Technology solutions and product development. He is founder and CEO of Neural Brain Technologies Pvt Ltd, which offers Software Services and Technology Solutions for multiple Industrial and Service Sectors to automate their business processes through Artificial Intelligence, Neural Network, Robotics, Machine Learning and Related Services. Prior to this, Prashant served as Chief Technology Officer with AxSys Healthtech Limited, a Clinical Healthcare solutions provider, specializing in the automation of clinical workflows, HIE, CDR, EHR PHR, PHR & Healthcare Analyticis. His responsibilities included, IT Strategy and Technology Roadmap and managing IDC DevOps, Infrastructure, Resource Planning, Innovation, Governance, Program Management, Budgeting & P&L Delivery. He drove the architecture strategy for the product to achieve a highly Scalable Distributed architecture, with Federated Databases to support high volume of concurrent users.
Prior to AxSys, he Served a Head of Technology & Chief Architect with Aptara’s Digital Solution group. During his tenue in Aptara, he was able to conceptualize and drive some major large scale Technology implementation which gave Competitive Edge to the Organization in turn gaining new businesses and support scale required. He successfully Implemented XCP Platform, a proprietary framework with Suite of Applications with Integrated Workflow management, Proprietary & Licensed OCR Engines, Corpus to cater various content digitization needs from Scanned PDF, Text PDF, XML, Indesign, CMS etc in multiple output formats. XCP Platform was a feature rich framework and provided intelligent Auto Zoning & Segmentation, Text Extraction, Auto Equation Detection, Math Extraction, Auto Tagging, Validation, Neural Network, Natural Language Processing and AI Capabilities.
